Dear Tom and Rachael,

Thank you for helping to make our “Catholic Schools Week” celebration a big success in 2008. Your concert on Thursday, January 31st outside under our large pavilion with our students and staff was outstanding. The “City of David” band was able to connect with first grade all the way through eight grades with no problem.

I was impressed with the way the band engaged the interest of our first through fifth graders during our morning session through music, biblical questions, prizes and just naturally taking a deep interest in our children. Their versatility with the sixth through eight grades during the afternoon session was equally impressive. The choice of music selections, biblical questions and prizes was a winning combination.

The key factor that separates "City of David" from other Christian bands that I have experienced was the powerful witness talk given by Bobby Guss. His honesty, vulnerability and openness to the power of God, along with his witness of conversion of heart, mind and attitude won the hearts of all who listened. It was then that the music which the band played became understandable and identifiable for all who listened. Everyone in the afternoon session listened and could identify which was a powerful moment for band and listeners alike.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to our kids in between sessions, while eating lunch with all the students and signing posters and T-Shirts and encouraging the students to trust God who never, never leaves His flock unattended.

Rachael and Tom, your management and communication style made our planning of this event easy and pain free. Thank you for accommodating all our special needs. What we could not provide you managed to provide. You both were a joy to work with.

Christians of any denomination would be honored to have you play at their event. I look forward to working with your whole group next year and the years to follow. As the pastor of St. Anastasia Catholic Church and School, I feel very comfortable with the band members of "City of David” and their management team, Tom and Rachael Streifel with World Shaker Ministry.
